This Cookie Policy explains how the Estate Executor Status Tracker ("Service") uses cookies.
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. Cookies allow the website to recognize your device and remember certain information between visits.
The Service uses exactly one cookie:
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Type | Duration | Required |
|---|---|---|---|---|
est_session |
Attorney session management | Strictly functional | 7 days | Yes |
This cookie is set when an attorney successfully authenticates via magic link. It allows the attorney to remain logged in for 7 days without re-authenticating. It contains a session identifier — it does not contain your email address, name, or any personal information.
Cookie security settings:
Executor access does not use cookies. Executors access the Service via magic links. No cookie is set for executor sessions.
The Service does not use:
The single cookie used by the Service is strictly necessary for the Service to function (attorney authentication). Under US law, strictly necessary cookies do not require explicit user consent or a consent banner. We disclose the cookie here for transparency.
You can delete the est_session cookie at any time through your browser settings. Deleting it will log you out of the Service. You will be prompted to re-authenticate via magic link on your next visit.
